At Bridgestone we are committed to hiring talented and skilled former service men and women. It’s why we joined the 100k Jobs Coalition, whose goal is to employ 100,000 veterans by the year 2020. The 100,000 Jobs Mission brings together companies committed to hiring U.S. military veterans and military spouses. The coalition has built greater awareness among its member companies of the benefits of hiring veterans and successful approaches to integrating veterans into the private sector workforce. We value your commitment and service.

“My service in the Marine Corps helped to prepare me for my career at Firestone by instilling in me certain values such as honesty and punctuality as well as a sense of pride in the work I do. Serving my country has also given me the drive and determination to achieve the goals I set for myself and a steadfast belief that hard work and honest effort are the truest way to success and over all happiness. Serving in the Marines also requires you to form strong working relationships and leads to effective and efficient small unit cohesion.”
“I had no clue what I wanted to do with my life after high school, so I made the decision to enlist in the army. After graduation I was shipped out to basic training and was called to active duty right after completion in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom II. My experience working in the motor pool made me aware of my passion for automotive. The army has thought me the importance of working as a team, gave me the confidence and leadership to perform my job, and has prepared me for any challenges that come my way.”
“My military service has prepared me for Bridgestone in so many important ways. I was afforded the privilege of leading brave men and women at a young age. By working with different individuals in diverse work environments, I honed my leadership skills which have proved beneficial at Bridgestone. I grew the most as a military professional while deployed. Being in a combat zone, you quickly learn the importance of contingency planning and adapting to changing conditions. With these valuable experiences, I learned to think “outside of the box” and look at new ways of working smarter and safer within Bridgestone.”
“Serving in the USAF taught me to be diligent in my work ethic. It also taught me that the job must be done right the first time. The military is very regimented in their daily routine. Likewise Firestone/Bridgestone has the same work ethic and is very focused on doing the job right for the boss. I enjoy the family feel all team mates get from Firestone the same way military service provides a lifelong brotherhood with other airman I served with. I am proud to have served my country and I am proud to serve my community working here at BSRO.”
“I have always had some natural leadership skills, but the Marine Corp helped me hone those skills into a way of life. Every part of my military experience has had a purpose. Being yelled at and put under pressure while trying to complete multiple tasks translates, in some ways, to circumstances I may face in my work environment. How I respond is crucial to Bridgestone and my teammates. Having the right kind of leadership that people can trust has created opportunities for me to build moral and focus on our goal to become successful. Thanks, to the military! HooRah!!!”
“I spent 8 years in the navy. The Navy showed and taught me how to deal with stress and always be ready to learn new and exciting jobs. This experience has helped me excel in the Bridgestone Company. While work may not always be stressful, when it does, I’m prepared. Being able to keep level headed during busy times allows for a better and more constant product to be produced. With many Bridgestone job opportunities available, I am always ready and will to take on new and difficult tasks if called upon.”
“The Military taught me to be on time and respect people in general. The Military taught me hard work will pay off in the long run. If you follow the standards set you will achieve your goals in life. The Military taught me to follow orders and obey orders by my employer or superior ask. What you put into life is what you will receive everybody has a equal playing field in life. It was the biggest influence in life.”
